Your Key West Fishing Captain:

Hi, I'm Captain Richard Houde, owner and operator of my 40 foot Custom Key West Charter Boat, The Southbound.

I have been fishing these waters as Captain and Mate since the mid-1980's. I have held a 100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Ocean Operators License (commonly called a Capt. License) for over 20 years and have operated both fishing and dive vessels from 34 ft up to 75 ft on these waters.

I originally moved to Key West in the early 80's with the intention of staying in Key West for 1 year before deciding to return to my native New Jersey to really start my "adult" life, although it did not exactly work out that way! After 28 years, I'm still here and loving it!
